Saturated ruby that clings to the glass. Ripe black cherry, incense, dried rose and a thread of woodsmoke set a serious tone on the nose. Concentrated and plush across the palate, cherry cola, raspberry and floral pastille woven through with spice cake, the tannins dense but finely polished. Finishes long and sappy, candied florals and genuine vitality carrying it out. One of Rioja's finest single-vineyard wines; drink now through 2035.
