Zidarich Terrano 2011

Dark, brooding, and uncompromising. The 2011 Terrano opens with ripe black cherry, tar, licorice, and clove, fruit that's lush and generous but never tamed. This is a grape that resists domestication, and Zidarich leans into that: dense tannic grip, a feral energy, and a structural backbone that calls to mind Pignolo at its most serious. Think Dolcetto's plummy richness crossed with Refosco's untamed character. Compelling stuff, though patience is a prerequisite.
