Harsh, drying tannins grip the wine from the start, leaving it tight and joyless on the palate. Roasted, oxidative notes intrude where fruit should be, and there's little beneath them to hold interest. A disappointing effort from a producer capable of much better.

Giacomo Fenocchio

A traditionalist Barolo estate working several of the appellation's most respected crus, including Bussia, Cannubi, and Villero. Long macerations and large Slavonian oak define the house style.
