Alheit Vineyards Cartology Bush Vines 2011

The inaugural 2011 Cartology Bush Vines, drawn from roughly 12% of the Radio Lazarus vineyard and aged in third and fourth fill 225-litre barrels from Delair Graff. Lemon curd, lime blossom and a faint thread of wet wool on the nose, pure and focused. On the palate it carries more weight than later vintages, with a creamy, slightly viscous texture and a lemongrass tang that sits alongside a pleasing saline quality. The finish is concentrated and long. Delicious.
