Warm, inviting aromas of toasted brioche, dried apple, and crushed almonds, the product of three decades of Cumières farming. Oak aging lends genuine richness, yet the wine never loses its stony backbone. Layers of honeyed orchard fruit build steadily across the palate, and the finish stretches long with a briny, iodine-laced edge. The vintage's natural generosity keeps Cumières' inherent tension from feeling austere. Drinking well now but has several years ahead.
