Classic Bartolo Mascarello Dolcetto, dark plum and blackberry with generous, fleshy fruit that stays anchored by firm varietal structure. Violets and a streak of licorice and tar come through on the finish, which is polished and surprisingly long for the appellation. There's real depth here without any loss of freshness. Traditional Dolcetto done right.
