Smoky red cherries, dried rose, vanilla and a thread of licorice on the nose, classic, perfumed Rioja. Sweet raspberry and candied violet follow on the mouth, cushioned by supple tannins and easy, confident balance. Pipe tobacco and warm spice linger on the finish with fine clarity. Old-school craftsmanship, fully mature and drinking beautifully now.
