Artadi Vinas de Gain 2007

Dark cherry, blackberry and cola open things up, with candied licorice and a curl of wood smoke adding intrigue. Brighter fruit takes over on the palate, red cherry and raspberry come forward, sharpened by a bitter cherry edge and framed by sweet vanilla oak. Medium-bodied, with supple tannins and a generous finish that lingers comfortably. Drinking very well now.
