Bright ruby, still showing some youthful garnet at the rim. Bitter cherry, red pastille and dried flowers on the nose, with espresso and a touch of licorice adding depth. Juicy and focused on the tongue, sour cherry and raspberry give way to vanilla and spice cake, carried on supple, well-integrated tannins. Acidity stays lively throughout, keeping the wine fresh rather than soft. Generous and polished now, with enough structure to continue developing over the next several years.
