From the Tondón meander in Rioja Alta, this has spent years in American oak and wears every one of them with ease. Coconut, dried herbs, cinnamon and a trace of pine resin on the nose, composed and unhurried, with no rough edges to speak of. The oak has been fully absorbed into the fabric of the wine. Broad and silky across the mouth, fine tannins framing a core of faded red fruit and sweet spice, with enough freshness to keep things lively. A fully resolved Tondonia that still has plenty left to say.
