Garganega air-dried for several months before vinification, then aged in French oak, this is Soave's answer to the great passito wines of Italy. Pours with an amber depth and opens with honeycomb, dried apricot, candied citrus peel and pressed wildflowers. Rich and luscious on the tongue, yet French oak lends enough structure to keep the sweetness from tipping into excess. A long, amber-toned finish carries a trace of fig paste and orange blossom. Brilliant with aged cheeses. 500 ml.
