Il Marroneto 2003

Brunello di Montalcino, Italy

WineSaint
Garnet-hued with amber edges, this fully mature Brunello shows dried cherry, leather and forest floor on the nose. The palate delivers surprising freshness despite the hot vintage, with cranberry fruit, earthy mushroom and dried herbs carried by supple tannins. Orange peel and spice linger on the finish. At peak now, drink over the next 2-3 years.
