Taut and stony, with wet chalk and crushed limestone setting the stage for precise lemon, green apple, and white pear. The single hectare of vines planted in 1960 brings a density and focus you rarely find in Champagne, fruit concentration that has nothing to do with dosage and everything to do with old roots. Zero dosage strips away any softening influence, leaving terroir completely exposed. White pepper and candied citrus peel build toward a finish with real length and a faint oyster-shell brininess that lingers. Drinking beautifully now but has plenty of road ahead.
