Candied pear, beeswax and dried white flowers open things up, giving way to toasted pastry and a stony undercurrent that anchors the richness. Full-bodied and generous on the palate, with baked apple, quince and a honeyed warmth that speaks clearly to the vintage's age. Persistent bead with lively acidity keeping everything in check, this hasn't gone soft. Graceful now, but there's still room to develop further.
