Bodegas Riojanas Puerta Vieja Crianza Rioja 1999

Cherry, mocha and a stony mineral thread on the nose, warm but showing its age. Soft red fruit carries through on the palate, though the flesh is modest and the frame a touch lean for a Crianza with this much time in bottle. A streak of unresolved acidity nags through to the finish, which closes dry and a little abrupt. Drink up.
