Burnished amber-gold, and every bit as evolved as you'd hope from a '95. Honeyed citrus peel, white truffle, beeswax and a smoky, almost campfire-like thread weave through the nose with real authority. On the palate, orchard and stone fruit fill out the mid-palate generously, yet there's no heaviness, everything stays composed, the acidity still doing its job quietly in the background. Fine bubbles carry the smoky character right through to a long, resonant close. More open and giving than earlier disgorgements; drink now through 2035.
