Deep burnished gold, aged and unapologetic. Brown butter, toasted hazelnut, damp earth and a pronounced briny, iodine-laced character define the nose, unmistakably Bollinger, unmistakably old. On the tongue, decades of lees time have built real density: roasted almond, dried fig and a chalky, flinty backbone carrying the weight with ease. Fine bubbles lift a long, coating finish marked by oyster-shell depth that lingers well past the last sip. A wine of genuine authority.
