Georges Laval Cumières Brut Nature - 2016 Base NV

Coiled and austere, with lime zest, tart green apple, and a chalky undercurrent that speaks directly to Cumières. The zero dosage strips everything back to terroir, equal thirds Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Meunier working in tight formation. Serious fruit is buried under that stern exterior, but it's there, and with another few years it should push through with real authority.
