From the Grbe site in Tokaj — south-facing volcanic soils, vines between 60 and 80 years old — this bone-dry Furmint is all restraint and precision. Beeswax and a gentle, almost pillowy creaminess on the nose, nothing showy. On the palate it's lean and austere, stripped back to essentials: a clean saline waxiness and firm, focused acidity. The finish stretches long and salty, letting the terroir do the talking.
