Wieninger Wiener Gemischter Satz Ried Ulm Nussberg 2023

From the east-facing Ulm Nussberg slope, Tertiary limestone dropping toward the Danube, this field blend of Grüner Veltliner, Weissburgunder, Neuburger and Welschriesling was raised across stainless steel, old large oak and amphora, with 18 months on gross lees unifying the whole. Spring blossom and a faint creaminess drift off the glass, understated but inviting. On the palate, that softness follows through, a smooth, rounded texture underpinned by a cool freshness that keeps the wine from feeling heavy. Concentrated richness and fine acidity hold each other in genuine balance, the finish long and clean. A distinctive, individual wine with quiet depth.
