Wieninger Grüner Veltliner Nussberg 2023

Drawn from the Weisleiten, Serfellner and Muckenthal sites on the western flank of the Nussberg, calcareous loam, afternoon shade on the latter, with roughly a quarter of the blend fermented in large, used Slavonian oak and the rest in stainless steel. Yeast and citrus share the nose in easy balance, giving it a pleasantly creamy lift. Juicy pear ripeness fills out the mid-palate, smooth and rounded, before the finish pivots back toward bright, zesty citrus. Fresh and lip-smacking, this is a generous Grüner that doesn't sacrifice snap for weight. Bone-dry.
