A blend of fruit from the Leitha mountains and Lutzmannsburg, vinified separately in 500- to 2,000-liter barrels. Smoke and ash on the nose give way to a vivid, blue-fruited core — blueberry and a saline edge — carried by crackling freshness. There's real juiciness here, and a satisfying crunch to the fruit, yet the wine never loses its composure. Finesse and vitality in equal measure. Bone-dry.
