Jean Foillard Fleurie 2023

Bright and focused, with raspberry, blackcurrant and a flick of allspice and white pepper lifting the nose. From south-facing vines in the Champagne lieu-dit, picked first in the harvest, it carries a touch more fruit density than the Côte du Py. Fine tannins, a gentle mineral grip and sapid red fruit carry through to a tightly wound finish. Superb.
