Plum and cassis struggle against aggressive herbaceous notes that dominate throughout. The palate is all hard, astringent tannins with little fruit to balance. Red currant makes a brief appearance before being swallowed by the phenolic grip. Needs food to tame the structure, though even then the green edge persists.
