Albert Mann Pinot Gris Hengst Grand Cru Vendanges Tardives 2023

A bittersweet farewell, this is the last vintage from the Hengst plot before it was pulled out. Made from shriveled, late-harvested fruit, dried straw and golden plum open things up, giving way to Mirabelle, honeyed texture, and a richness that flows without feeling heavy or cloying. At 98 grams per liter of residual sugar, there's real weight here, yet the wine carries it gracefully.
