Wieninger Riesling Ried Preussen Nussberg 2022

Grown on calcareous sandstone and vinified in stainless steel, this Nussberg Riesling needs a moment in the glass before it opens up. Citrus blossom and fresh apple gradually emerge, followed by a richer core of ripe stone fruit. Bright, finely drawn acidity gives shape to what is otherwise a generous, full-bodied wine, Seville orange peel and a subtle waxy quality add aromatic lift. It finishes bone-dry and focused, the fruit held in check by that clean mineral backbone.
