Wieninger Pinot Noir Select 2022

Calcareous Bisamberg soils, with a smaller share from Nussberg, give this Pinot Noir its lifted, aromatic character — ripe cherry and a breath of smoke on the nose, fresh and inviting. Twelve months across a range of French oak formats (228 to 600 liters, roughly 20% new) has added texture without imposing itself. The tannins are fine-grained and darkish, lending genuine density, while the acidity keeps everything clean and alive. No heat, no excess weight — just composed, elegant Viennese Pinot that punches well above its station in 2022. The finish lingers with freshness.
