Sourced from a parcel grafted over from 45-year-old Blaufränkisch vines and fermented in concrete egg, this replaces the Tribut Pinot Noir in the range. The nose is generous and ripe — dark blackberry, plum juice, a brooding density that suggests warmth and weight. But the wine shifts on the palate: fresher and more structured than the nose lets on, with slightly drying yet ripe tannins and a lively streak of tart red-black fruit cutting through the richness. That blackberry character stays consistent from start to finish, and the close is cleaner and brighter than expected. Bone-dry.
