Weinbach Pinot Noir Les Terres du Prince 2022

From 50-year-old vines in Grand Cru Furstentum, grown on limestone and marl, and fermented baie par baie, each grape cut from the bunch with its pedicel intact, no central stem. The nose is bright and precise: chalk, red cherry, a whisper of citrus zest. On the palate, something quietly luxurious takes over, a creamy, lightly toasted texture beneath cool, salty tannins that feel almost mineral in their fineness. Licorice drifts through the finish. Sumptuous is close, but poise wins out. Dense and structured without ever feeling heavy.
