Rudi Pichler Riesling Terrassen Smaragd 2022

From old vines, 20 to 60 years, planted on high-altitude Terrassen parcels between 250 and 350 meters. There's something distinctly perfumed on the nose, an eau de Cologne-like lift of citrus blossom and orange peel that sets this apart from more earthbound Wachau Rieslings. The palate is focused and precise, with vibrant acidity carrying ripe stone fruit and a stony mineral thread through to a clean, lingering finish. Classic high-altitude Smaragd character: aromatic, taut, and built to age. Drink 2025–2035.
