Pingus Flor de Pingus 2022

From Burgos-area vineyards, early-harvested in a warm year and fermented in used barrels, the 2022 Flor de Pingus announces itself with a floral intensity that feels out of step with the vintage heat, lavender, violet, a trace of mint and cassis, with oak kept well in the background. Fine-grained and juicy on entry, the tannins carry a light but defined grip that gives this more backbone than the 2021 without losing any precision. Tasted six months post-bottling, the depth is already genuine. Built to age.
