Paolo Scavino Barolo Ravera 2022

Dark and purposeful. Black cherry, crushed gravel, incense and graphite lead the way, trailed by new leather, white pepper and a streak of licorice. This is a serious, brooding Ravera, concentrated and stern, with tannins that grip hard and show no sign of relenting early on. The bones are clearly there; this just needs time in the cellar to find its footing. Drink 2028–2042.

→A Castiglione Falletto estate synonymous with single-vineyard Barolo, Paolo Scavino built its reputation on Bric dël Fiasc before expanding across some of the Langhe's most sought-after crus. Now run by the second generation, the wines remain precise, structured, and worth seeking out.
