Bussia with the volume turned down, but unmistakably itself. Dark cherry, tobacco, dried orange peel, leather and balsamic spice, the vineyard's signature aromatic intensity is all there, just drawn in tighter lines than a warmer year would allow. There's genuine breadth and weight on the mid-palate, the fruit full and generous within 2022's naturally leaner frame. The spiced, resinous character lingers long on the finish.
