Monvigliero asserts its identity even through the heat and drought of 2022. Crushed rose petal, white pepper, chalk and bright red-fruited notes pour from the glass, threaded with a vivid saline lift and a cool mintiness that cuts right through the vintage's warmth. The tannins are firm but finely drawn, and the acidity keeps everything precise and focused. This has real upside, give it time.
