Elio Altare Barolo Unoperuno 2022
Lush and forward, with sweet cherry, blood orange, dried mint and new leather, 2022's natural generosity fully on display. Fruit from Cannubi, Cerretta and Arborina forms the backbone, with smaller contributions from Sorano and Bricco rounding out the blend. This is the most openly ripe of the Altare lineup, yet the multi-vineyard composition keeps the richness in check. Tannins are present but supple, and the whole thing holds together with more composure than the year's reputation might suggest. Drink 2027–2040.
