Bernhard Ott Grüner Veltliner Stein 2022

Ott's lowest-elevation site in the portfolio — gneiss soils at 220 to 280 meters — and the wine is almost introvert on the nose, offering little more than a trace of white pepper and something green and sharp, like freshly cut palm. Things open up on the palate: a salty, yeasty core, wet stone, and a deep-running mineral salinity that gives the wine an addictive pull. Slender in body but precise, with nothing wasted.
