From 1956-planted vines on Rosenberg's deep, lime-rich loess, this is a wine that keeps its cards close. Hints of pineapple and tropical fruit surface slowly, but the wine's real character is structural — broad and unhurried, with a stillness that suggests considerable depth waiting beneath. Freshness runs through the whole wine like a backbone, and the finish is genuinely mouthwatering. Give it time; the foundations are all there. Drink 2026–2038.
