Albert Boxler Riesling Dudenstein Sommerberg Grand Cru 2022

From vines planted in 1946 on the eastern flank of Sommerberg, where the granite bedrock yields to limestone and sandstone. Lime zest, yellow plum, and a faint trace of pine resin on the nose — restrained but sharply focused. The palate is lean and cutting, with a phenolic grip that brings a cider-like astringency, almost textural in its presence. Bone-dry and tightly-knit, its slender intensity is the whole point.
