Agathe Bursin Riesling Zinnkoepfle Grand Cru 2022

Iron, wet stone, and cold mineral air on the nose, precise and almost austere. On the palate, lemon pith and crushed limestone dominate, with Mirabelle plum sitting far beneath the surface, barely showing its hand. Bone-dry and tightly wound, this is a wine of compressed energy rather than immediate generosity. Remarkable discipline for a warm vintage, the fruit is in there, but it needs time to push through the rock. Give it five or more years.
