Wieninger Chardonnay Select 2021

Fermented with 20% in large barrels and 80% across a range of 228- to 600-liter casks, with 20% new oak, this Chardonnay carries its wood treatment with real restraint. Smoke and lightly toasted hazelnut drift across the nose, trailed by a creamy undertone. On the palate, white peach and lemon come through with impressive lucidity — there's a pristine quality here that separates it from heavier-handed Vienna Chardonnay. Composed and long on the finish.
