A whisper of reduction on the nose gives way to wet stone, tangerine and Mirabelle, earthy, precise, quietly complex. The palate opens up generously for a cool year, with ripe plum fruit, lemon pith and a smooth, almost silky texture that feels hard-won rather than given. The finish lingers, still carrying that faint smokiness. Bone-dry, and built to wait. From 1.6 hectares within Rosacker Grand Cru, with vines ranging from 1981 plantings to an estimated 70-year-old originals.
