Ogereau Côte de la Houssaye 2021

Dense blackcurrant and herb aromatics show promise, but the execution falters. The palate carries too much weight and heat, overwhelming the schist-driven minerality that should define this site. The finish clamps down with bitter tannins. Ogereau has the terroir but needs to pull back in the cellar.
