Lourens Family Wines Red Blend Howard John 2021

Eighty percent whole-cluster fermentation and ten months in used French oak have produced something genuinely pretty. The nose leads with violet-tinged red berry fruit, Earl Grey, wild fennel and cracked pepper, aromatic and lifted. On the palate it's medium-bodied with a soft, fleshy entry, red cherry and crushed strawberry carrying through to a sweet, generous finish. A seductive Rhône blend from Stellenbosch.
