Blackberry, licorice and a cool camphor note on the nose, with 12 months in used French oak adding subtle frame without dominating the fruit. On the palate it's medium-bodied and lively, opening with a tangy, marmalade edge before the licorice and a dusting of pepper assert themselves through the finish. Straightforward and well-made — drink over the next 3–4 years.
