Tightly wound in youth, the 2021 Montosoli slowly gives up dried black cherry, crushed violet, dusty rose petal, clove and mineral chalk on the nose. Silk-textured on the palate, with red berry fruit and a fine mineral thread woven through the mid-palate. The finish is long and structured, raspberry-edged, fresh, and beautifully composed. An impressive, harmonious Brunello from a standout single vineyard. Drink 2027–2042.
