Alheit Vineyards Hemelrand Vine Garden 2021

Chenin Blanc from the Hemel-en-Aarde, and one of Alheit's finest. Slow to open, but patience is rewarded, sea spray, honeysuckle, fynbos and a dusting of chalk emerge with time in the glass. On the palate it's tightly-knit yet generous, the bright acidity threading through flavors of yellow plum, quince and frangipane all the way to a long, precise finish. The kind of wine that empties a glass without you noticing.
