Albert Boxler Riesling Vanne Sommerberg Grand Cru 2021

From vines planted in 1953 on Sommerberg's granite, this is Riesling pared down to its bones. Seville orange and lemon pith lead on the nose, precise and tightly wound, with a stony undercurrent that sets the tone. Bone-dry and sinewy on the palate, tangerine and fresh citrus riding a spine of pure mineral tension that never softens or strays. The finish is long, clean, and relentlessly focused, a wine of real authority.
