Iron and rosehip on the nose, quiet but focused. Then the palate opens up, silky, lacy, with a flow and suppleness that's genuinely rare. Fifty-year-old vines on iron-rich marl and limestone beneath Furstentum, with 50% whole bunches and nearly two years in oak behind it. The heat of 2020 is nowhere to be found; what's here instead is density worn lightly, long and serene to the finish.
