Weinbach Pinot Noir Altenbourg 2020

Red cherry and fresh herbs lead on the nose — bright, lifted, precise. The palate is all silk and finesse, with superfine tannins that barely whisper against the tongue. It draws from two blocks on iron-rich marls in the Altenbourg lieu-dit: one planted in the 1960s, the other a massal selection from Clos des Epenots, each contributing equally. Wonderfully supple and fresh, this will only gain in elegance with time.
