From Alto Alberche at the granite heart of Gredos, fermented with 40% whole clusters in amphorae and aged 14 months in 500-liter used French oak. Pale cherry-red, with a nose of tart red cherry, crushed strawberry, and a cool undercurrent of forest floor. Dry and savory on the tongue, the fruit is focused rather than generous, held in check by firm, close-knit tannins that grip with purpose. The whole-cluster component weaves in a wild herbal thread that lifts the whole thing. Structured Gredos Garnacha with something to say. Give it a few more years.
